i just got back from the grocery store. my artichokes already smell good. mmmm.

i actually went to the grocery store twice. while i was at the grocery store the first time, i passed this strange, korean looking woman who had an open umbrella over her head as she was staring at the oatmeal from 3 inches away. she was kinda hidden behind the umbrella so i stared at her for a few seconds before passing.

when i got home, i found out we in fact do not have olive oil in our house. so after i do what i can without it, i went back to hairy teeter.

and sure enough umbrella lady is still there, in the same aisle as a matter of fact, and hasn't moved more than 5 feet forward since i saw her 20 minutes earlier...

i grab my olive oil, check out, and as i'm getting into my car i see her one car over putting her bags into her van, umbrella in hand. i don't know if she was talking to me or to herself but she said very matter-of-factly, "i don't know if she was a real chinese dictator, but that's what i think!" i smiled at her, holding back my laughter and got into my car.

the other day, frank was telling me about all these weird people he's had working for him in the past and applying to the new albie's. he once had to alert an entire restaurant's staff to watch one of his cooks who liked to sneak drinks from the bar. he had this one older lady come in applying to be a cook who wanted to revamp his whole menu.

also, if you're driving in virginia and someone cuts you off, expect them to give you the finger.

i live. in case you were wondering.

most stuff is going well. emily came and visited me this past week for her break. we had much fun. i have a temporary job until i can get a job in the summer. my current job blows dirty cock so i won't go into extenxive detail. but it pays well so that's enough for now right?

and from the negative side, my grandpa pcholinski died this past week. and i didn't get to attend the funeral. and i'm bitter about that but i'll get over it. and i didn't really tell anyone but emily what was going on so as not to hear all the "i'm so sorry about"s. my dad is really upset about it. but he has vanessa to take care of him. which is nice. and i had emily to take care of me. which was superfun. so all else is well.

except that pierson pisses a lot in my room... but i will destroy her.

i have a royal complaint about this fucking state and i've lived here for less than 2 months already... about 2 weeks after i moved down here, i had my car broken into, my radio and cds stolen. in virginia fucking beach. where shit just doesn't happen. all the time i was just outside detroit, no man ever fucked with my music. but this... this is the mother of all crimes against me. and i only wish i had seen the bastard do it. i wouldn't have thought twice about going after the motherfucker with a clenched fist.

but other than that, virginia smells better, looks better, sounds a little more jet-noisy but i can ignore that, and feels better than michigan. so, be happy for me.

today was a good day at work.

after close today, maria put a piece of tissue wrapping paper in the back of her shirt and called herself the buckle superhero. i told her she needed a t-shirt that says "i work at the BUCKLE". then me and brian put on buckle tissue wrapping paper capes and ran up to our manager and sang "dun dun dun DUN da DUN!!!!! BUCKLE HEROES... TO THE RESCUE!!!!!"

this had to be the longest long weekend i've ever had.

tuesday night i went out with jen*e, emmy, and scott to ram's horn and bitched at the dumb waitress. whore.

wednesday i went up to my grandma's to spend the night. i fell asleep at 6:30 and got up at 9 to watch my show. then went back to bed. i felt like shit.

thanksgiving morning i got up early to eat breakfast and watch the parade. then i went back to bed until 1. then it was family time.

it was actually a very relaxing thanksgiving since frankie, tony, and dante weren't there. my aunt patti and uncle lou alternate holidays between their 2 families. i'll be dealing with the kids over christmas instead of thanksgiving this year.

uncle ray was giving al boy a hard time. he's trying to get al to join the christian group at school. i casually interrupted their conversation. poor al.

then me, laura, aunt debbie, and my mom played taboo and ate nuts. family tradition. me and laura lost. again.

i didn't get home until 10ish. i went back over jen*e's and ate some of her leftovers. i didn't get to bed until 4ish. and the next day i had to work.

my mom went shopping at 7 the day after thanksgiving. she got back in time to take me to breakfast at rex's. work was a nightmare. there wasn't enough room in the store for me to breathe. i got home at 11:30 and went straight to bed.

worked 1-10 again on saturday. and crashed again after getting home at 11.

yesterday i got up early to go shopping with jen*e. we stopped in at panera to visit ashley... and because we were starving. we went shopping at gibralter. i hadn't been there in so long. i got a christmas tree for my room! it's little and it's got pre-attached lights... which kinda ruin the christmas spirit if you ask me but... whatever. and i bought other gifts.

after shopping, i went home and watched national lampoon's christmas vacation and took a nap. a long nap. a really long nap. i finally got up to finish my laundry. so lazy.

that was pretty much my break. i'm still sick. now i'm coughing. i'm thinking maybe i have mono. again. i've been sick for over 2 weeks and i'm really fucking tired. maybe it'll kill me. haha. nah.
